In comparison with the year 2005 in 2006 Kombinat Magnezit JSC (makes part of Magnezit Group Ltd.) increased production of refractory bricks by 7,3 % — up to 387,4 thousand tons and production of salable powders — by 11,7 % up to 805,9 thousand tons.

- Magnezit Group Ltd. manufactured the first batch of fused periclase from Siberian raw material
First batch of periclase from the raw magnesite of Deposit Goluboye was fused at Kombinat Magnezit JSC which makes part of Magnezit Group Ltd.. Development of this deposit in Motyginsk district of Krasnoyarsky krai is carried out by Magnezit Group Ltd. in accordance with the Program for strategic development. Total investments into this project for the period up to the end of 2009 will exceed 1 billion rubles. - 20.11.06

For the professional presentation of its products and services at the international exhibition «Metal-Expo-2006» Magnezit Group was awarded with a Diploma and a memorable cup «For the best exposition at «Metal-Expo-2006». Besides within the framework of competition of projects for modernization of operating equipment, for development and introduction of new technologies, equipment and metal products Magnezit Group was awarded with the Silver medal and Diploma of Laureate of this international specialized exhibition.

- Unique equipment at Magnezit Group
At the gas-distributing stations ¹ 1 and 2 of Kombinat Magnezit JSC (which makes part of Magnezit Group Ltd.) there was installed a new unique complex for taking stock of natural gas. There is no similar equipment anywhere else in Russia.

- Magnezit Group Ltd. strengthens its positions on the European market
Leader of refractory industry on Russian and CIS market — Magnezit Group Ltd. strengthens its positions on foreign markets and expands its sales channels in Europe. The main site of the Group on the European market bringing together production facilities, warehouses and a wide sales network is the enterprise Dalmond Feuerfest Siegburg GmbH & Co. KG which became part of the Holding in August 2005. During a year work in the structure of the Holding the plant produced and sold to the biggest European consumers more than 10 thousand tons of refractories. In 2007 the Group intends to double the total production volumes of the plant — up to 20 thousand tons of refractory masses and 2 thousand tons of shaped refractories.

- Development of Deposit Goluboye in Krasnoyarsy krai was begun
Leader of refractory industry on Russian and CIS market Magnezit Group JSC began development of magnesite deposit Goluboye in Krasnoyarsky krai (Razdolinsk settlement, Motyginsk district). At the end of August of current year mining works began to strip the reserves. Industrial mining and shipment of raw material is planned for the turn of the year 2006 and beginning of 2007. In 2007 — 2009 Magnezit Group is planning to construct a new industrial complex for raw materials processing. It will be built in the immediate proximity from the deposit. Total investments in this project will exceed 1 billion rubles.

Kombinat Magnezit JSC (makes part of Magnezit Group Ltd.) increased production of refractory shaped products by 5% in the first half of 2006 in comparison with the same period of 2005, namely up to 191,3 thousand tons. Production of salable powders was increased by 13,6% — up to 390,2 thousand tons.
